Opportunity
From Start Line to Sellout
San Antonio Sports partnered with Noisy Trumpet to launch the first-ever San Antonio Marathon. As a brand-new race, the challenge was to build credibility and large-scale awareness while efficiently converting registrations for the 5K, Half Marathon, and Marathon – without wasting budget once races filled.
The goal: drive demand, sell out distances, and ensure every paid dollar delivered measurable impact.

Noisy Trumpet executed a full-funnel, performance-driven paid media strategy balancing awareness with conversion efficiency.
- Targeted high-intent runners using lookalike audiences, re-marketing, and interest-based segments
- Creative highlighted finisher medals and finish-line moments to tap into achievement-driven motivation
- Deployed YouTube for cost-efficient awareness, Meta as the primary conversion driver, and layered in Google Search, Display, Native, CTV, and OLV for incremental demand
- Actively optimized budgets and paused spend once races reached capacity
